Weidlinger Associates provided structural engineering services, including shop drawing review and construction support services, for the design and construction of two five-story parking garages totaling 2.9 million square feet at Washington Dulles International Airport. The new facilities, known as the North Flank and West Flank garages, were built to meet the needs of the increasing number of travelers using the airport. The North Flank garage accommodates 4,750 cars and the West Flank garage 3,800 cars. They were constructed of post-tensioned concrete with a precast-concrete skin.
